We would like to visit this time over Easter. Does WDW still televise the Easter Parade and do you know what day that would be taking place? This will be our 29th visit to WDW and have never been near the taping of a parade. Is that a special invite?

    Hi there, Penny!

While the Easter parade is no longer televised, Easter Sunday is still a special day at the Walt Disney World Resort.

In 2012, at Magic Kingdom Park, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny did a meet-and-greet in the Tour Guide Garden “intermittently” from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28 – Sunday, April 4.

Also, on Easter Sunday, there was a 3 p.m. "pre-parade" that featured an Easter theme with the Easter Bunny, Daisy and other entertainers.

At Epcot, the following events were available to Guests:

Easter Egg Hunts and Relays on Easter Sunday in the United Kingdom pavilion in World Showcase.

Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny available at the UK pavilion on Easter Sunday to sign autographs during certain hours.

Easter Egg Hunts offered on Easter Sunday in Future World at at the Innoventions "East-er" Garden.

Children participated in Easter activities such as a bunny ring toss and an Easter egg bean bag toss at Innoventions on Easter Sunday.

You need neither advanced booking nor special invitation to join the fun on Easter Sunday.

    Have a wonderful trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
