    I want to visit the theme park and use my early entry the day of check in. If I am ordering magic bands that are being delivered to the resort. Can I pick the bands up that morning of check in to use in the park?

    Hi there, Dakota, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here so soon, and you must be so excited! I'm glad that you've stopped by today with this great question about your first day at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Dakota, it sounds like you know a thing or two about the amazing benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, like the ability to participate in Early Theme Park Entry! I reached out to a helpful Cast Member who let me know that you should be able to pick your MagicBands up that early at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I want to chat through this plan with you, because I am a huge fan of Early Theme Park Entry and I want to be sure you're able to take full advantage of that time.

    Did you know that Bell Services at your hotel will be happy to store your luggage for you until your room is ready? That way, you can rest assured knowing it's safe inside, away from the elements. You'll also be able to hop right on any of the Disney transportation modes that you need to get to the Disney Theme Parks. When going to a Disney Theme Park for "rope drop," you'll want to arrive well in advance of Early Theme Park Entry time - about 30 to 60 minutes, in my experience. Of course, there's no bad time to get to a Disney Theme Park, so be flexible and patient as you move through your morning. If I were in your shoes, I'd drop my bags off, grab my MagicBands, and scoot to the parks. 

    Here's where you want to be mindful about your MagicBands for the first time. If you've ordered a MagicBand+, it might need to be charged before using it. Since you've ordered it as part of your reservation, it will be linked to your account and tickets. You'll also want to pair it with your mobile device. You can find detailed instructions on this helpful website. If you find that your MagicBand+ isn't charged, it will be helpful to have a backup plan. Hakuna Matata! Disney MagicMobile Service is easy to set up in your My Disney Experience Mobile App. Just go to your tickets, click "Add to Wallet" and it will create a virtual ticket for you in your smart phone's wallet. You can use this to tap in at the tapstiles and for Lightning Lane entry until you get your MagicBand+ in working order.
