Hi Jane!
A Thanksgiving visit to
Walt Disney World sounds practically perfect!
Dining reservations are available up to 60 days in advance, so in about two weeks your reservation window will open. If you want to book a sit down Thanksgiving dinner, I suggest you are on your lap top by 6:00 am the day reservations open. Spots go quickly, especially on a popular holiday like Thanksgiving.
Reservations are also currently required to enter a theme park.
Disney Park Pass Reservations for November may be booked now. Check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar, purchase your tickets, and then reserve your park days.
Genie+ is quite similar to FastPass+ and Disneyland's MaxPass. You will be able to select the Lighting Lane entrance to select attractions one at a time for the entire day. Once the new Genie+ is rolled out (sometime this fall, no exact date has been announced), you will be able to add Genie+ to your tickets in advance. Genie+ may also be purchased the day of a theme park visit starting at 12:00 am. If you purchase your Genie+ in advance, it applies to your whole length of stay. If you purchase the day of, it only applies to that day's ticket.
Select highly popular attractions, such as the
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, will have Lightening Lane availability only through individual ride purchases. These will be purchased the day you use them.
