Hello, I have a visit starting 25th May and have already arranged DAS for my family member (holiday dates all declared). With the changes due on the 20th, am I going to have to register again or will the existing DAS still stand? Thank you.

    Hello Helen!

Welcome to planDisney! There has been such a furor over the upcoming clarifications and changes with the Disability Access Service (DAS). I can understand how it can be frustrating to need this service and not be sure how a holiday will pan out.

Well, Helen, I have good news for you. If you have already been approved for a DAS accommodation then it will remain valid until its expiration. Guests who have the DAS accommodation in place before May 20, 2024, will have it valid for up to 30 days from the start of registration. Once it expires, you will have to re-register again, and if approved it will be valid for 120 days. I hope you check out the many services offered to people with all kinds of disabilities. If you arrive at the Parks and need assistance, make sure to visit Guest Relations or look for the Cast Members from the Guest Experience Team.

It looks like you are arriving right before the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival ends. Make sure to make it a priority as it will all be over on May 27, 2024. It's my favorite Festival in EPCOT with its gorgeous topiaries and delicious foods. The whole Park is just gorgeous and a true celebration of spring.

I hope this helps and you have a fabulous time!

    Happy Planning!

We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
