When we visit my son will be 4 & my daughter 2. If I make fast pass selections for rides the children are too short for, will I still be able to make additional selections at a kiosk for all of us once the adults have completed our 3 fast passes?

    Hi JoAnn,

I love being able to reserve some of my favorite attractions prior to arriving on vacation at the Walt Disney World Resorts!

There are only two ways to activate the additional FastPass+. One is to use your third FastPass+ and then the next one is available right away. The second is to let your time elapse on your third FastPass+ and then your next one is available.

I discovered this two weeks ago on vacation. My oldest daughter did not ride Tower of Terror with us and it was our third FastPass+ of the day. While the rest of the family could book the additional FastPass+ right away, she needed to wait an additional ten minutes until her Tower of Terror FastPass+ expired. While it was not a big deal this time, it could be a bigger issue if we rode Tower of Terror at the beginning of the FastPass+ window. We then would have had to wait up to an hour for her FastPass+ to expire and then become bookable. We could have missed out on a FastPass+ for an attraction we wanted because we were not in sync.

You could get around this by making one of your first two FastPass+ options a ride he can not do. For example at Magic Kingdom, you could make Space Mountain and Splash Mountain FastPass+ 1 and 2. You could make Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin 3. When you are finished with Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, everyone would be eligible for your next FastPass+.

Remember your daughter is two and does not get a ticket or FastPass+. You would simply bring her on the attraction.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
