    Our 1st visit & we have 7:45 AM reservations at Chef Mickey during Christmas week! We are taking the Disney bus from POR to MK. Is it quicker to walk to the Contemporary or take the Monorail since MK opens at 7:00 AM that day? Thanks for your help

    I am happy to hEAR you made a reservation for Chef Mickey’s, my family’s favorite option for a delicious breakfast!
    I am the kind of person who likes to walk, so unless it is raining, I would prefer walking from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It usually takes my family around 10 minutes to walk that short distance.
    Monorail is always a great option. You will have to walk from the bus stop to the Monorail station, which is near, and once you take it your journey will be less than two minutes. Disney’s Contemporary Resort is the first stop.
