Hey there, Samantha. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I just love a good pool day, or days, when I am visiting
Walt Disney World. Seeing that you are visiting in August, I'm guessing that you are going to be having a few as well! My perfect day at Walt Disney World is waking up early and experiencing my favorite attractions during
Extra Magic Hours. Then, around lunchtime when the parks are more crowded heading back to the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I am staying at for a dip in the pool. After swimming, I like to enjoy a nice
Table Service dinner and then head back to the parks in the evening for more attractions and the nighttime firework show. It's an incredible day!
Each Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's pool is for Guests staying at that particular resort. You are able to enjoy your resort's pool as much as you'd like but there is no "pool hopping" to another resort. There is an exception to this rule, however. As long as you are a Guest at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you have the ability to
rent a cabana for a half day or full day at either
Disney's Contemporary Resort or
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Included with the Cabana Rental at Disney's Contemporary Resort:
- Padded furniture, including chairs and couch
- Ceiling fan
- Bluetooth speaker
- Television with cable service
- Phone for Resort calls
- Fruit tray
- Mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and water
- Complimentary Skincare products
- Safe
Included with the Cabana Rental at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Dedicated Cast Member providing service to the cabanas
- 2 padded lounge chairs
- Padded sectional couch
- Ceiling fan
- Smart TV with cable service
- Fruit basket
- Mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and water
- Snack basket
- Plush towels
- Complimentary sunscreen and skincare products
If you are interested in checking out a different pool than the one at the resort you'll be staying at, this is the only way to do it. Doesn't it sound fantastic? I do suggest making advanced reservation by calling 407-WDW-PLAY because these private oases are popular and can fill up quickly. If you are considering it, my daughter just stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa over the weekend and she said their pool area was fantastic. They had amazing pool parties during the late morning and early afternoon with music, games, activities and crafts. She had a great time!
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, I'd love for you to come back and ask.
