Can I visit the parks on a weekend with a pixie pass if I also have Disney resort hotel reservations?

Hello Kaysie, and welcome to planDisney!

Isn't it wonderful being part of the Annual Passholder family? I love visiting the theme parks whenever the magic is calling (which, let's be honest, is always!) and enjoying perks like merchandise and dining discounts. I'd be happy to review some details of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass before you fly off to Neverland.

Guests with a Disney Pixie Dust Pass may not use their pass to enter the theme parks on weekends and during peak holiday periods. Even with a reservation in a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, you are still subject to the pass's blockout dates. I have a few ideas for you, Kaysie, so keep reading!

If you see yourself visiting the theme parks on several future weekends, consider upgrading to the Disney Pirate Pass. Though still blocked from use during busy holiday weeks, it opens up the possibility for many weekend visits, giving you a lot more flexibility. You can upgrade your current pass right on the My Disney Experience mobile app by clicking the "Upgrade Pass" tile right below your pass's barcode in the Tickets and Passes section of the app.

If you're only looking to spend a couple more days in the theme parks that fall over a weekend, look at the Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket. The price of the 3-day ticket included in this offer, plus the amount you already paid for your Disney Pixie Dust Pass, is slightly less than the cost to upgrade to the Disney Pirate Pass.

If you prefer to avoid purchasing more tickets, another option is to enjoy a staycation at your resort. My family recently spent a long weekend at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. We found plenty to keep us busy and loved fully exploring our resort. From relaxing poolside to viewing the animals and engaging with the wonderful Cast Members here, we were never bored. While we mostly stayed and immersed ourselves in the magic of Jambo House, we did venture out to Disney Springs and the Magic Kingdom area resorts for shopping and dining. My children and I also spent a few hours at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. While we can't wait for our next trip, which will include time in the four theme parks, we had a fantastic time during our staycation.

I hope this is helpful, Kaysie, and you have a wonderful weekend escape to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If there's anything we at planDisney can do to assist with future travels, don't hesitate to get in touch again. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
