Hi Ruth,
My son’s first visit to Walt Disney World Resort took place when he was 5 1/2 months old and we were amazed at how many things we were able to see and do with him… and how much he loved his surroundings!
First,
this handy post over at the Disney Parks Blog gives you clear information about the height requirements for almost all of the attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort’s Theme Parks. If an attraction says that it can be experienced by Guests of “
any height”, you should be able to enjoy it with your both of your children, while holding your baby in your lap.
As for tips on bringing a baby with you to Walt Disney World Resort, I have TONS!! First, check out the
Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page. There, you’ll find all kinds of tips and tricks for enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one! Make sure to visit the
Baby Care Centers if you need a bit of a break during the day! I love their extra-large changing tables and the rocking chairs (especially useful if you’re still nursing).
I also recommend "baby wearing" (i.e. using a baby carrier or a wrap/sling). After a day or two of trying to wrangle our stroller and bucket, I started wearing my little guy and it was so much easier.
Finally, because I like to travel light, if I don’t rent a car for my visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I usually have baby/toddler gear (diapers, wipes, sunscreen etc) delivered straight to my resort either via Garden Grocer or even amazon.com.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
