We are going to visit one of the water parks this year at Disney World for the first time. We have an almost 4 year old and a 7 year old. Which of the two parks would be best for their ages? Thanks!

    Hi Kristi!

My family LOVES the Walt Disney World water parks!  Choosing the right one for your family really comes down to personal opinion.  We prefer Typhoon Lagoon because of it's tropical theme, sandy areas and I love the Surf Pool with the giant waves.  Shark Reef is a lot of fun where you actually get to swim with sharks!

If your kids are adventurous, Blizzard Beach might be better for them.  It has more thrill rides including Summit Plummet with a nearly straight down drop.  The toddler area has more slides than the one at Typhoon Lagoon as well.  My kids, 2 and 5, love to spend their time in Tike's Peak.

Both water parks have a lazy river, family raft ride and a handful of dining options.  Take a look at the Attractions page for Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon (already filtered for you).  You can continue to filter by height, which might also be a factor with your 4 year old.

    Have a magical day!
