Hello Jenny! It sounds like you enjoy visiting the
Magic Kingdom Park at the most magical time of the year! I couldn't agree with you more! It's not quite Halloween for our family until we see the Headless Horseman make his ride through the Magic Kingdom during
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We also love to see it snow on Main Street, U.S.A. during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Yes, the magic of Disney will have it "snowing" in central Florida.
The decorations for both Halloween and Christmas at Magic Kingdom Park are enough to put even Grumpy in the holiday spirit! While there is a quick transformation from Halloween to Christmas, not all of it takes place over night. For example, last year the final Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was on November 1. The first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was on November 8. So, while you might see some of the Christmas decorations on 11/3, you might not be able to enjoy everything that the Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer during the most magical time of the year.
Jenny, if you plan on attending either (or both) of these special holiday parties, please know that they typically start at 7:00PM and conclude at midnight. However, Magic Kingdom Park will typically allow party Guests to enter the park as early as 4:00PM. I feel like you get the most out of your experience (and money) by using this planning strategy.
Also, as this is the first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for your little ones, I recommend the use of
Memory Maker. This service, provided by
Disney's PhotoPass, will capture so many of your magical memories as you experience the Disney Parks. Character greetings, on-ride photographs, and photos taken of your family in the parks will all be provided for you.
Jenny, feel free to come back to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue your planning for the holidays at Magic Kingdom Park!
