we visit may 10 4 my daughters 4th bday. need help w/resort choice. need something close by but fun to hang out too for when she gets exhausted at the parks. thght abt wilderness lodge but told its really far away. i wish there was a princess resort!!

Hello Kate!  I'm a little confused with your question...what are you trying to be near?  The Wilderness Lodge is located near the Magic Kingdom - just a quick boat or bus ride away.  There are, however, three resorts even closer to Magic Kingdom - the Contemporary, the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian.  What's nice about these three resorts is they are located on the monorail loop which makes for easy access to Magic Kingdom.

There are plenty of resorts located within the Walt Disney World resort.  All the resorts have great pools, arcades, etc.  When my kids were younger, they had ton of fun at All Stars.  And it was no more than a 20 minute bus ride to the resort from any park.   And on the flip side, they had an equally fun time at the monorail resorts, and we found the location more convenient.

If budget isn't an issue, and you are trying to be near Magic Kingdom, I think any of the resorts on the monorail would be a great choice for convenience and Wilderness Lodge would be a close runner up.  If it's not Magic Kingdom that you are trying to be close to, can you please right back so we can give you a better answer?  Thanks!

I hope your daughter has a magical birthday!  Diane
