Hi Yia! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to hEAR you are considering a visit to the Magic Kingdom during the holiday season! There is nothing quite like walking down Main Street, U.S.A. with all the festive décor and holiday cheer lining the way! This time of year tends to be very busy at the Walt Disney World Resort. Let's discuss some options you may have to visit the theme parks during your time in Orlando.
I took a peek at the
theme park availability calendar and it does not show any availability at the Magic Kingdom through the end of the year. At this time, you'll be unable to purchase a ticket and make a reservation at this park. However, if you are interested in visiting one of the other three parks, there is spotted availability during this time. Each park will have its own holiday festivities to enjoy, with EPCOT hosting the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
Using this strategy, it is possible to still visit the Magic Kingdom during your visit. You can purchase a park ticket and add the
Park Hopper Option to it. This will allow you to visit the first park you made a reservation for, then starting at 2 PM, you can hop over to the Magic Kingdom to continue your day. Keep in mind that park hopping is subject to capacity levels. If the Magic Kingdom reaches capacity on this day, you will be unable to enter the park even though you have purchased the Park Hopper Option. This happens rarely, but it is possible, especially during the holidays.
Yia, I hope you can use the park hopping method or
secure a park reservation to the Magic Kingdom during your visit to the area. I would continue to check back to the Walt Disney World website periodically to see if availability opens up.
Have a magical day!
Greg
