To visit Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day, do you need a special ticket at all? Or will the regular tickets be ok?

Season's Greetings, Lauren! A holiday celebration at Magic Kingdom Park sounds extra special - from the dazzling decorations on Main Street U.S.A. to some special holiday entertainment and snacks, you're sure to find many ways to celebrate a jolly holiday!

Lauren, to visit Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day, you will only need to have a standard Theme Park Ticket that is valid for admission on that day. Depending on which type of ticket you purchase, you may also need to make a Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, but most date-based tickets no longer require these reservations. One tip I'll share with you is that Christmas Day is one of the busiest days of the year to visit the Theme Parks, so I would recommend arriving early to ensure the park does not reach capacity on this special day.

One of the most festive opportunities typically offered to Guests on Christmas Day is the opportunity to view Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, which is otherwise only offered during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Be sure to keep an eye on the Park Hours and Events Calendar as your visit draws closer to confirm this offering!

Before I let you go, Lauren, I'd love to share a few more of my holiday favorites around the Walt Disney World Resort that you might enjoy during your vacation:
    • EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which includes outdoor kitchens with festive dishes, the breathtaking Candlelight Processional, and even a Holiday Cookie Stroll!
    • Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which transforms Magic Kingdom Park into a winter wonderland, complete with special ride overlays, characters dressed in their holiday best, and exclusive entertainment offerings!
    • Minnie's Seasonal Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios combines a festive holiday meal with some of your favorite characters!
Lauren, I hope this is helpful and I hope you have a magical holiday season and a wonderful visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to planDisney and let us know! We're always happy to bring joy to your world!

    See you real soon,
