We will have our 1st visit June 29 through July 6. Which park will be to visit when knowing that it will be crowded over the July 4th weekend? What is the best park to visit on July 4th? Are there any special shows we need to see on the 4th?

Hi Michele! It will very likely be the case that theme park attendance will be higher than normal during the holiday weekend. However, I wouldn't let that deter you from celebrating the Independence Day holiday in the theme parks. "Disney's Celebrate America: A 4th of July Concert in the Sky" enhanced fireworks extravaganza will be taking place in Magic Kingdom. The spectacular 360 degrees fireworks display is generally shown both July 3rd and July 4th. If you choose to visit Magic Kingdom either day, I recommend planning on getting there as early as possible and spending the remainder of the day at the park. Magic Kingdom reaches capacity early in the day during special holiday events. If you leave the park, or arrive too late in the day, there is a chance you will not be able to get in to watch the show. In Epcot you may experience the "Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert" in the America Gardens Theatre stage featuring the Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps and several Disney characters. IllumiNations Reflections of Earth will feature a patriotic finale. In addition there is usually a fireworks display with a Rock N' Roll soundtrack at Disney's Hollywood Studios. In general, I would recommend visiting Magic Kingdom on the third and either Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios on the fourth. Enjoy these special Independence Day celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort
