Hi there, Peter! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Ok, not really - it's actually beginning to feel a lot like summer here in Central Florida, but it's never to early to make your holiday plans for Walt Disney World. It sounds like you're trying to figure out the best way to schedule your Disney days. And you're in luck, because that's one of the things we moms do best!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom kicks off on November 8 this year, and runs on select nights through December 18. It's a jolly holiday event, complete with a special parade, holiday-themed fireworks show, and a shimmering, icy glow on Cinderella Castle. This is a separate ticketed event, meaning you'll need to purchase tickets specifically for the event, apart from your regular Theme Park tickets, to attend. The good news for you, Peter, is that it means you can visit a different Theme Park in the morning, then head to the Magic Kingdom later without having to use a Park Hopper option. The festivities begin at 7 p.m., but they'll often start admitting party Guests as early as 4 p.m. with just your party ticket. I'd check with the concierge at your Resort hotel if you're staying on property, or ask a Cast Member at Guest Relations to be sure.
One more tip: many dates will sell out as the holiday season approaches, so you'll want to buy your party tickets in advance.
I hope this helps you have a magical holiday visit to Walt Disney World, Peter. Please come see us again if you have any more questions. And keep dreaming of a Disney Christmas!
