I want to visit my family at Disney for the day. What should I do?

    Hi Marcia! Welcome to planDisney.

Sounds like your family is headed to The World’s Most Magical Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. I sure hope they enjoy some of the specialty-themed treats available in the 50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide.

President’s Day at Walt Disney World Resort is one of the busiest days of the year. While Theme Park Reservations are currently at capacity, you can always keep checking the availability calendar. However, let’s cover a few alternatives and fun activities to do with your family.

Walk-ups are welcomed at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf near Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. You may also call to book a tee time at (407) 939-7529. Miniature golf is always fun for the whole family and all ages.

If your family is spending the day at a theme park, why not meet up either for a break during the day or in the evening at Disney Springs. Did you know, Splitsville is a two-story restaurant and luxury bowling venue? I did a little research and sure enough, currently, reservations are available for bowling and dining.  Their loaded French fries are fantastic.

I also did a quick Advance Dining Reservation search for that evening and several options were still available. A big hit with families, Planet Hollywood had availability as well as my favorite, City Works Eatery & Pour House. You also have numerous restaurants that do not require reservations like The Polite Pig and Chicken Guy!

Besides dining, Disney Springs hosts free entertainment throughout the property in a beautiful setting. Shopping to please all ages including the world’s largest Disney Store, World of Disney®!

Whatever you and your Ohana decide, enjoy the Magic of Disney.

    Keeping it Magical,
