Visit DW often but wanting to try DL end of March, how many days should I give? Anything specific to DL that I must do?

    Hi, Jennifer!

I’m glad you’re planning a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. You’ll love exploring the magic of Disney’s original theme park!

Since this is your first trip, I suggest you visit for at least four days to experience all the resort has to offer, from the Downtown Disney District to the theme parks, including Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park and where the magic all began, Disneyland Park.

At Disneyland Park, I love the recently-refurbished Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Indiana Jones Adventure. “Mickey and the Magical Map” is a live stage show and one of my must-dos! It combines innovative technology with favorite Disney characters and songs. Be sure to make time for Fantasmic! in Disneyland Park (it’s different than Walt Disney World’s version) and stop by Fantasy Faire to meet some Disney royalty. Blue Bayou is my favorite restaurant in Disneyland Park. It’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the gently-lit “outdoor” atmosphere is unique.

Explore Cars Land and ride Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park, in addition to trying Flo’s V8 Café. The décor is inspired by drive-up diners and features a spectacular view of cars speeding by on the Radiator Springs Racers attraction. Pay close attention to the Cadillac Mountain Range in Cars Land—the six range peaks represent Cadillac tail fins from 1957-1962! Be sure to see Cars Land during the day and also at night when the neon lights are aglow. During World of Color, Disney California Adventure Park’s nighttime spectacular, characters come to life as more than 1,000 jets of water dance to the music and form a colorful medley of fantasy.

I hope this helps, Jennifer, and that you have a pixie-dusted first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
