1st Visit to DW at the end of May - 7 nights! DH is not thrilled (he wants a relaxing beach vacay). Kids are 8, 6 and 2. I am having the HARDEST time. I booked CBR (trying to give DH a little beach) but all reviews say POR or POFQ. Please help!

    Hi Amie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is a very large and spread out resort.  If you like that then it could be perfect.  It does have a great pool for children.  However, I don't personally prefer such large spread out resorts and don't usually stay at them unless I have my own car to help get around both the resort and the rest of Walt Disney World.

I would recommend staying at Port Orleans Riverside.  It is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort and it has great theming, especially the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  It also has a fun boat service to Downtown Disney which is especially relaxing at night.  Port Orleans Riverside is a large resort, but not as spread out as some of the other Disney Moderate Resorts.  Many guests love Port Orleans French Quarter and it is much smaller than Port Orleans Riverside.  However, I think the pool at Riverside is better for older children and I like that Riverside has a Table Service restaurant available for dinner.  If you stay at Port Orleans Riverside you can use all of the services and amenities of French Quarter; the opposite is also true.

This is a hard decision.  I probably didn't help but hope I gave you some insight.  Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
