I would like to visit Disney's Boardwalk to take in the sights and do some shopping. However, I am not staying at a Disney World Resort, so I am wondering if I will be able to park at the Boardwalk? and is it free to do so?

    Hey there, Emily!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see us here at planDisney! It's great to hear that you're thinking of visiting Disney's BoardWalk as part of your vacation plans. Disney’s BoardWalk is one of my favorite entertainment destinations at Walt Disney World Resort. I'm happy to share that you need not be a Guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in order to enjoy Disney’s BoardWalk. I just love taking a leisurely stroll around Crescent Lake to get the feel of a splendid seaside get-away. Some of my favorite dining destinations are located right there, including AbracadaBar and Trattoria al Forno. To help make your visit more fun, I'd encourage you to check for updates on the entertainment, dining, and recreation currently available or temporarily unavailable at Disney's BoardWalk. When parking availability is limited, free self-parking might not be available, though valet parking may be an option. Please also keep in mind that the area is currently managing a reduced capacity.

Emily, another favorite destination of mine for sights and shopping is Disney Springs. Be sure to check out the latest information to make your Disney Springs visit spectacular. I have so many favorite dining experiences at Disney Springs, including Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', Jaleo by José Andrés, and Enzo’s Hideaway. And nothing tops off a night of shopping and dining like a dessert from Amorette's Patisserie.

Emily, here's wishing you an oh-so-fun time at Walt Disney World Resort!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
