We will visit Disneyland with our 5 yo in the spring for the first time (planning two days; have done Magic Kingdom-WDW once). She loves princesses and easy-going rides; Ariel is her favorite. Seeking general advice on parks/attractions and hotels/dining.

    Greetings, Christina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You and your daughter are going to have such a fabulous time at the Disneyland Resort.

As a five year old, the magical experiences at the parks are truly endless. If you are planning two days, I would highly recommend a 2-Day Park Hopper Ticket. This will let you experience the many kid-friendly and classic attractions at Disneyland Park as well as so many fun attractions and entertainment at Disney California Adventure Park. Since these two parks are literally footsteps apart, I always recommend a Park Hopper Ticket for shorter trips allowing you to revisit favorites at each park before you leave. Your daughter won't want to miss The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure in Disney California Adventure Park, and she can meet even more princess pals over in Fantasy Faire of Disneyland Park.

There are three hotels on Disneyland Resort property, but my top pick is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Apart from its luxurious amenities and ambiance, this hotel boasts an entrance to Disney California Adventure Park attached to the hotel itself. You can head back to your room throughout the day in just minutes due to its proximity to the parks. There are also many Good Neighbor Hotels located all around the Disneyland Resort area that are convenient as well.

I suggest browsing the many dining options located in both parks and three hotels. You can book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance online, by phone, or right from the official Disneyland app. Make sure you check out the four Character dining options as these are great for little ones!

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any questions!
