I would like to visit disneyland in September 2014 and I am trying to decide between the Disneyland Hotel and the Grand Californian Hotel. Which one has the best pool for a 16 month old? I want to choose the one that will give her the most enjoyment. Thanks

    Hi, Jessica!

I’m glad to hear you want to visit The Happiest Place on Earth with your little one! You’re going to have so much fun exploring the theme parks together.

I would choose the Disneyland Hotel because the large pool area there features two water slides themed after the classic Disneyland Park Monorail, a smaller “kiddie” water slide, and an immersive water play area great for younger Guests who may not be confident swimmers yet. It’s got a fun, colorful vibe that both of you would enjoy. Be sure to check out the character-shaped topiaries in the landscaping nearby!

The furnishings at this hotel also have lots of classic Disneyland charm, and you’ll see nods to Walt Disney and the theme park in the details and décor. The Sleeping Beauty Castle-themed wooden headboards are especially pixie-dusted…with the flip of a switch, you can enjoy an in-room music and light show!

I hope this helps you decide, Jessica, and that you enjoy a wonderful Disneyland Resort vacation with your daughter! Please visit me again if you have any other planning questions.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
