Hi, Yu-Ting - welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by to ask this great question about dining at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel. During breakfast and brunch at this location you'll meet beloved Disney Pals, including, the one and only, Mickey Mouse - which is always a highlight for me!
Advance dining reservations at Disneyland Resort are open for booking up to 60 days prior to your visit, so, when it's your time to book, Yu-Ting, visit the Storytellers Cafe page
on the Disneyland website and click on the blue "Check All Availability" button to log into your account and confirm party size and date. I spoke with a helpful Cast Member who confirmed that you should book your dining reservation for a party of two and when you check in for your reservation, mention that you have one Guest checking in. The Cast Member assured me that you should not incur any penalty or cancellation fee for doing this, as there's just a weird glitch in the system that doesn't allow parties of one for some reason!
Tip: I recommend booking your dining reservation at Storytellers Cafe on a day you do not plan to visit a theme park, as you do not need a theme park ticket to visit the Grand Californian Hotel. Save your dining experience at Storytellers Cafe for, perhaps, the morning of your departure day for one last magical goodbye!
I hope this has been helpful to you in your planning, Yu-Ting, and that you have an incredible time immersed in the Disneyland magic. You will be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth during one of my very favorite times of the year - the Halloween season! If you have any additional questions or perhaps would like details about
Oogie Boogie Bash (the best After Dark Event of the year, in my opinion) or strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities, please don't hesitate to
ask me another question! You know where to find me!
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
