I would like to visit Disney World in Sept. I have a 4 yr old son, I want to know the best hotel for toddlers in disney. It looked like the value resorts look the most fun for young ones, all the other better hotel look more adult friendly?

The good thing about toddlers (at least remembering how mine was) is that resorts can be quite amusing for them. You pay extra for the best pool and find out that just pushing the button for the elevator was the biggest thrill of your stay. In fact, at 8, our son still has to be the one to press the buttons.

Our son loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge. He liked eating his breakfast on the balcony while watching giraffes. He was very happy in the hotel’s zero entry depth pool. The pizza at Mara’s kept him happy. My toddler enjoyed the playground and watching the kid-friendly TVs in the lobby.

More fun at the Wilderness Lodge too. He loved toddling back and forth over the bridge in the lobby, only stopping to get another penny to toss into the water. The playground on the sandy beach was a great place to run off some energy. The Lincoln Log table in the waiting area for Whispering Canyon Café was a place to play and giggle. He loved sleeping in a bunk bed at both of the lodges. I only let him sleep on the bottom. I also put a blanket hanging down from the top to darken his little “room”.

Did he like the All Star Movies? Oh, yes! At the time, Herbie the Love Bug was his favorite movie. I requested to stay in that section and each morning and evening, my son had to greet Herbie. He was certain there were new tire marks in the concrete from Herbie driving around while he slept. While I missed the amenities of the moderate and deluxe hotels, I have priceless memories of these moments at that resort.

At Port Orleans French Quarter, he was very comfortable. He loved the pool with a serpent slide that was just the right size for him. The boat ride to Downtown Disney and walk to Port Orleans Riverside were perfect adventures for a young boy.

At the Polynesian, he loved the pool, torch lights and monorail.

So…I would first consider your budget. Then narrow it down according to the hotel amenities and location that work best for your family.
