Hello, I want to visit Disney World at the end of September. I have a military ID, and want to do a split stay with 2 nights at the Contemporary Resort, then 3 nights at the Beach Club resort, with 4 day park pass. How can I resolve all that? Thank you

    Hi Jasmine! Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for your family's service to our country. My military family just returned from an epic Walt Disney World Resort vacation, where we celebrated my husband's return from his deployment and all the birthdays and holidays he missed while he was overseas. We had a BLAST and I know you will too.

Before I walk you through how to make this work, I want to give you a Mickey-glove high five for this excellent vacation plan. Disney's Contemporary Resort is an iconic Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and the walk to Magic Kingdom Park makes this super kid-friendly. Disney's Beach Club Resort is home to Stormalong Bay, which is hands-down the most fun Disney hotel pool. Such great choices!

If you have a valid and active military ID, here is what I would do to make this split stay work for your family. You can purchase Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets at your local base; to learn more about these tickets, please visit the Military Promotional Theme Park Ticket offer webpage and be sure to click over to the Offer Details and read all the fine print. Once you purchase the tickets, be sure to link them to your My Disney Experience account so you can make your Disney Park Pass reservations. Each Guest must have a theme park ticket and a reservation in order to enter a theme park, so I recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible.

For your military-discounted resort hotel reservations, you'll need to call (407) 939-7830 to inquire about availability and pricing for your visit dates in September. Military discounted rooms are room-only reservations, so you won't add theme park tickets to the reservation. Instead, you'll purchase the military tickets separately and link them to your account. I do this all the time, and we often do split stays - it works great for my family. In my experience, availability is limited on the military discount, so if you can be flexible on your dates or resort hotel choices, you may find more options for your visit.

Thanks for stopping by with your question, Jasmine! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow military family with their Disney dreaming, so please come back and see us if you have any more questions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
