We would like to visit Disney World to see the Christmas decorations. When are the parks fully decorated? We were thinking of going starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

    Ho Ho Ho Lavonne!

So you're planning a magical Walt Disney World vacation while the Disney resorts and theme parks are decked out in their holiday best. That sounds like an excellent plan. I'll never forget the first time I saw Cinderella Castle draped in twinkling white lights. The sight is simply breathtaking and I am so excited that you are planning a trip to see it too.

Although we are never entirely sure when the elves will sneak into the Disney resorts and theme parks after hours to decorate, past experience has taught us that the full Christmas decorations are typically out in time for the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year. In recent years, that first party took place the second week of November. Therefore, you should be fairly confident that the Walt Disney World Resort will be gloriously decorated for the holidays if your visit begins the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Please let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
