Welcome to planDisney, Joseph!
I’m so happy to hEAR you have a Walt Disney World vacation on the calendar. Foodie fun is just one of the many reasons why I love traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Oh yes, I like the way you are thinking...go have a delicious lunch at
Disney Springs to cap off the end of your vacation. The hard part will be deciding where you want to eat! There’s quite a
list of dining options, and all of them are sure to tantalize your taste buds. I have a soft spot for
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’; the down home dishes like Fried Chicken & Donuts tug at my Southern heartstrings. Another one of my favorites is
The BOATHOUSE with stunning lake views and a marvelous menu to match. As table service locations, both take advance dining reservations, which you can make using
this link.
My other notables list includes
The Polite Pig for mouthwatering barbecue;
Blaze Fast-Fir’d Pizza for signature pizzas like the Red Vine or Meat Eater;
The Daily Poutine for this wonderful Canadian staple that I’m now hooked on thanks to my Canuck friend Kirsten; and
D-Luxe Burger for an all-American classic.
Don’t miss
Gideon’s Bakehouse for massive almost half-pound cookies that are literally bigger than my head! You know it’s popular when they use a virtual queue to hold your place in line and text you a return time. Other decadent dessert spots include
Amorette’s Patisserie for my favorite Key Lime Pie and crêpes;
Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew for a sweet treat and a caffeine jolt; and
Vivioli il Gelato for gelato or sorbetto. After talking about all this food, now I’m really hungry!
I hope you will return to planDisney to send us more SWEET questions. Wishing you a fun-filled vacation and a palate-pleasing adventure at Disney Springs!
Bon Appétit!
