We will visit Disney in March. I have MS and I'm concerned with the heat and standing in line for long periods of time will really take its toll on me. I have been told that there is a pass for people with disabilities, true?

Hi Cindie! How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is next month! When you first visit a park during your trip, stop by Guest Relations and explain your concerns. The Cast Member can provide you with a Guest Assistance Card for the length of your stay that will provide necessary accommodations for your condition, such as the use of special air-conditioned waiting areas, where available. If you're worried about your stamina to endure a day in the park, you might also want to consider renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) because the walks between some attractions can be long and hot.

Since March is often a busy month at Walt Disney World, I recommend that you arrive at the parks before they open. The mornings are a cooler time to visit and the lines are generally much shorter then. Take a break in the afternoon to rest or relax in the pool at your resort and then return to the park in the evening when the sun's gone down.

For lots of helpful information, visit the Guests with Disabilities Frequently Asked Questions page on the Disney website.

Cindie, if you have more questions, I'm happy to help! Just come visit me again here at the Moms Panel! Wishing you a magical vacation!
