I want to visit disney. My husband and I are both first responders, I am pregnant and my husband is a veteran. All of that being said is there a discount offered or any special things that are offered for any three of these things?

Hi there, Alexandra! Welcome to planDisney!

First, let me say thank you for your husband’s service and sacrifice, and congrats to both of you for the upcoming addition to your family! How exciting!  I’d be happy to help you find the information you’re looking for.

There are a variety of discounts and offers available for 2025 and 2026, including some discounts for veterans of the United States military available through Shades of Green Resort. Shades of Green is located on Walt Disney World property and operated by the Department of Defense for use by military service members, families, and sponsored guests. Honorably discharged veterans with a copy of a current DD-214 form can stay at Shades of Green through the Salute to Our Veterans program (subject to availability). Guests eligible to stay at Shades of Green can also purchase discounted Magic Your Way tickets through their local military base’s MWR/ITT office or the Shades of Green Resort Attraction Ticket Office (in-person or online).

The Shades of Green Reservations & General Information line will be your best resource if you have you have questions about purchasing tickets or making a reservation at the resort.

There are a lot of great tips for visiting Walt Disney World while pregnant or with a little one, but one of my go-to tips is to utilize the collection of search filters on the Walt Disney World attractions page and the My Disney Experience mobile app. Not only do these filters allow you to search by location and ride type, but there are also filters for age groups, height requirements, and by which attractions have expectant mother advisories. It’s a great tool for creating a vacation itinerary that fits your specific needs.

Alexandra, I hope this information helps you start planning an amazing Walt Disney World Vacation. Come on back to planDisney if you have any other questions!

    Magical travels!
