Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Jimmy!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question! As it just so happens, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my places in all of
Walt Disney World Resort, and in my opinion, it doesn't get more entertaining than a night of fun at
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and Tiki Bar. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to visit this not-so-secret hideaway during your upcoming holiday and I'm happy to offer a few suggestions for getting there in one piece before the hurricane blows in.
While you won't be able to park your own vehicle or be dropped off at the entrance to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort without having a confirmed dining or hotel reservation at the Resort, I think this still happens to be one of the easiest Resorts to reach at Walt Disney World. If you're planning a visit to
Magic Kingdom Park before you head over to Trader Sam's, you can simply jump on the monorail or enjoy a relaxing boat ride to the Polynesian. And if you're planning to drive your own vehicle or have a car drop you off, it's even easier –– all you'll need to do is make your way to the Walt Disney World Transportation and Ticket Center (also known as the Magic Kingdom Parking Lot) where it's just a quick walk to the Resort next door. Once you're there, you can make your way to the ground floor hallway where you'll find the entrance to Trader Sam's tucked away.
After enjoying all the antics Trader Sam's has to offer, be sure to stop by
Pineapple Lanai at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the perfect end to any night –– a DOLE Whip, of course! And if you're really looking to up your game, try to grab this tasty treat around the time
Disney Enchantment is scheduled to begin at Magic Kingdom Park. If you'd like, you'll be able to take it down to the beach to enjoy while you get a spectacular view of the fireworks, complete with the soundtrack playing over the Resort's speakers. Not only is this a really cool way to see the show from a new perspective, I also think it makes a great, low-key end to the evening. Be sure to give it a try during your upcoming visit!
Again, thanks so much for visiting planDisney, Jimmy. I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with tikis and tropical treats –– just watch out for that volcano!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
