Hi there, Rosa! Welcome to planDisney from a fellow tween-boy mom!
If your 11-year-old son is anything like my 11-year-old son, you're in for an action-packed Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My son has definite opinions on what he wants to do every day, and sometimes it feels like I'm just along for the ride. But that's just another day in the life of a Disney Mom!
So, let's talk tickets!
Walt Disney World uses a date-based ticketing system, so your cost will depend on when you go, and whether or not you add options like Park Hopper. We'll start by going to the
Tickets page on the Walt Disney World website. First, let's choose a Standard ticket, then the number of days you plan to visit. We'll select 3 here, then scroll down to Options. This is where you can add the
Park Hopper Option if you'd like to visit more than one theme park per day, but we'll stick with one park per day for now. Next, we'll choose your start date of July 20, 2021. That gives us a total price for one 3-Day ticket of $371.05 + tax. Since your son is over age 10, you'd both use the adult ticket, so the price is the same for him.
Rosa, once you purchase your tickets, the next step in your planning process is to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for the theme park you plan to visit each day. Looking at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar for that week, it looks like every park has availability except
Disney's Hollywood Studios, which does have openings on Saturday. Your tickets will still be valid on Saturday that week, so if you wanted to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios on your trip, you could make reservations for that day, or add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets and hop over there in the afternoon on one of your other park days.
I hope this helps you and your Mouseketeer plan a magical mom-and-son vacation, Rosa! Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
