Hiya Ryan,
Welcome to planDisney! There is nothing more magical than seeing the world of Disney through the eyes of your little princess. I am honored to help be a part of the magic, and I hope we can make it extra special for you both.
First, don’t fret about Character Dining and
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Plans are constantly changing for Guests, so there is still a chance that you will be able to get reservations for these experiences. It is undoubtedly more stressful not to have a set itinerary before you leave, but since Guests can cancel their reservations up to 24 hours before, surprise reservations are constantly popping up. Be sure to check back in that time frame and leave some flexibility in your schedule for some pixie dust. I recommend heading to the Boutique when you arrive to see if any cancellations or open spots are available on the day of your visit because you never know what might happen.
Now in case, there is nothing available, you can still make a magical princess day without reservations. Nothing is more enchanting than getting a hug from your favorite princess! A character meet and greet could be just the thing to put a smile on your daughter’s face. To find out what characters are available for her to meet during your visit, use the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Open your My Disney Experience mobile app and select the map icon (second choice on the bottom of the screen). At the top, you should see “Wait Times” and an arrow. Click the arrow and select “Characters.” Once you choose that, click the “Show List” option in the right-hand corner and see the complete list of those accepting royal visits.
Another way to get a peek at some royalty is the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Grab a spot near Frontierland, and your little one can wave and dance with all her favorites in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. Last but certainly not least, a makeover from one of Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices is lovely, but you don’t need a fairy to dress like a princess. Stop by
Disney Springs and pick out a princess dress for your daughter. She can then dress like her favorite princess at the Theme Parks. Be sure to seek out Disney PhotoPass photographers while she is dressed up so she can have many photographic memories of her royal outfit. I recommend getting to Magic Kingdom early so she can get a coveted photo in front of Cinderella’s Castle with fewer crowds in the shot).
I hope this gives you a starting point, Ryan, and that you can make your visit magical. If you need more ideas, please come back and see us and check out this
guide.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
