We are visiiting with a child that takes meds that need to be refridgerated, I requested a refridgerator and was wondering how big the fridge is and if it has a freezer, we will need to bring ice packs to keep meds cold on plane ride there and back. Thanks

    Hi Jonathan,

I have medicine for my daughter which I need to keep in a refrigerator and always request a refrigerator for medicinal purposes.  Usually, the fridges that I end up getting at the Value Resorts are the size of a dorm fridge and some of them have a small open area inside the fridge for freezer space (you may be able to freeze one or maybe two smaller ice packs in that space).  I don't need a freezer space for my daughters medicine, but I have been aware of this change in the fridges many times when I have been given one (it all depends on what they have available at the time you are traveling there). If you receive a fridge with no freezer space you can request one at that time and I am sure they will try their best to accommodate your medicinal needs (I have never had any problems with my specific requests when it comes to medical issues at WDW).  If you need more than this, you can always ask them at the front desk if they have an area where they could put your ice packs so they are frozen when you need them.  Hope this helps!

    Best wishes,
