Hi Janee!
We're so glad you stopped by and sent this Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
Oh dear, I am so sorry for the bit of ticket trouble, Janee! I'm a bit of a miles-and-points person myself, so I know it's not your card. Sadly this has been an issue for others, too. I don't know why this keeps happening for so many, but I'm very happy to say that I have a few solutions that might do the ticket trick:
~ Try calling the
Ticket phone line where a helpful Cast Member will be able to take your order, issue your tickets, and key in your card. This phone number is (714) 781-4636 and is open until 9:00 P.M. PST Monday - Friday, and until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday.
~ Try to use your credit card to purchase
Disney Gift Cards, and then use the Disney Gift Cards to purchase
Disneyland Theme Park Admission Tickets. Disney Gift Cards can be found at big box and grocery stores all over the country; your better bet would be to buy e-Disney Gift Cards from ShopDisney.Com as these will be emailed to you most likely faster than if you were to drive to the store and back. The caveat with using Disney Gift Cards to purchase tickets is that only one gift card can be used per transaction; while you can combine Disney Gift Cards up to *$1,000 on DisneyGiftCard.com, you might have to make multiple transactions depending on how many tickets you need.
~ Guests in California and its neighboring states sometimes have luck finding Disneyland Theme Park Ticket Gift Cards at their local grocery and big box stores. You might not find as many options in-store as there are directly on Disneyland.com (ex: you might find 1, 2, or 3-day park hopper ticket gift cards but not a four-day 1-park-per-day option) but these stores sometimes sell an e-version of the ticket gift cards, too, which means less running around. (Target.com sells 2 and 3-Day park tickets, with and without the brand new
Disney Genie+ Service. And better yet, pay with your Target RedCard and the 5% savings will apply!) Don't forget to load these tickets to your
My Disneyland Account or
Disneyland Mobile App, and make your
Park Pass Reservations when your
booking window arrives.
~ Lastly, check with any memberships, travel clubs, or point portals you have. (Costco sells
Disneyland Vacation Packages and so does AAA.)
I'm so sorry I couldn't provide a better answer as to why this error is occurring, Janee, but I hope that one of these workarounds works for you! Be sure to follow the
