    What is the Virtual Queue?

Hey there Donald! Welcome to planDisney! You're only two weeks out from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I see you are here putting the final touches on your planning, and I'd be happy to help you master the virtual queue!

Donald, each attraction has a standard queue line where you hang with your party while waiting for your chance to ride a gigantic Slinky Dog. And while it can be fun looking for hidden Mickeys as you move closer to your attraction, the truth is it takes time. The virtual queue basically gives you more time to enjoy the parks by holding your spot in line, virtually! Who else is going to give you more time to enjoy your vacation!?

The virtual queue is typically only used for new and highly sought-after attractions. The only attraction currently using the virtual queue is Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. Trust me, you do not want to miss this ride!

Now, let's talk about how the virtual queue works. At 7:00 a.m. on the morning of your EPCOT visit (make sure you have a Disney Park Pass reservation), you can request to join the Remy's Ratatouille Adventure virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app. The good thing is that you can do this while laying in bed! But make sure you are punctual, those virtual queue spots can fill up fast!

If you can grab a coveted spot, you will see a boarding group (or group number) displayed in your “My Plans” section of the My Disney Experience app with an estimated callback time. This time can fluctuate throughout the day so make sure to check the app periodically to see where your time stands. Once your callback time arrives, head over to the attraction and enjoy!

If you aren't able to catch a virtual queue spot at 7:00 a.m., the virtual queue will reopen at 1:00 p.m. and you can follow the steps above to try again!

Things are constantly changing, and you should check the My Disney Experience app closer to your visit to determine if a virtual queue is still required on the date of your visit. I'm guessing that it will be, but it never hurts to verify!

Here are a few of my recommendations on how to enjoy EPCOT until your callback time:

    - Grab a seat on Frozen Ever After, Test Track, or Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
    - Grab a pizza at Via Napoli
    - Munch on a cookie from Karmell-Küche

I hope this helps, Donald. Soon you'll be immersed in the magic of Walt Disney World!

    Until next time,
