Hi Amanda! I’m glad to see that Guests are asking about the new ways to experience attractions when they visit the Disney Parks! The more aware Guests are, the better prepared they will be for their vacation! That’s what we’re “all about” here at planDisney!
Yes! With the introduction of the new
Lightning Lanes, there will still be
virtual queues (for select attractions) at the Disney Parks. The attractions that are currently using virtual queues are the newly opened
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run, both at Magic Kingdom Park, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.
In addition to being available via the virtual queue (at no additional cost), Guests can also access TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind by purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for each ride.
Amanda, I always recommend keeping an eye on the
My Disney Experience app and the Walt Disney World Resort website. The ways in which Guests can experience different attractions is subject to change. The two sources I mentioned will be updated any time there is a change to the way an attraction can be experienced. For example, while Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is accessible via the virtual queue (and Lightning Lane Multi Pass), the Walt Disney World Resort has shared that a traditional standby line will be used for this attraction following the “opening period” for the attraction.
Dreams do come true!
