Do most of the virtual ques at 7am land a spot to ride before noon? How will I know what estimated time my que number group is? Also, does Tron have a LL option separate from VQ? Thanks!

    Hello Amy!

    Welcome to planDisney!

There are two chances for all guests to join a Virtual Queue for a day. As you stated, one time is at 7 am and the second is at 1 pm.  This is all done through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you are lucky enough to grab a boarding group number in the Virtual Queue at 7 am, you are not going to know exactly what time you will be enjoying the attraction right away.  Once the Park opens and the attraction starts announcing boarding groups you will then see an "Estimated Wait" that could range from a few minutes to many hours later. There is no way to predict the exact time a boarding group may be called as it changes every day. There is a chance that a group you received at the 7 am Virtual Queue selection could be called after 12 pm. If the ride shuts down for a while or things move quickly you may see that a Group 70 is called at 11 am one day and after 3 pm another day. Sadly, there have also been times when a Virtual Queue never gets called. Just keep an eye on the app and make sure you allow for notifications from the app to be pushed through so you don't miss your return time! I like to set an alarm for about 30 minutes before I see my estimated wait time finishes and remain in the area of the attraction so I don't miss it.

TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise provides two opportunities for guests to enjoy this attraction. There is no standby line at the moment so guests will either have to secure a boarding group on the Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane. Individual Lightning Lanes are not included with regular Disney Genie+ and are a separate cost that fluctuates in cost each day. Guests staying onsite at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel can get first dibs on the Individual Lightning Lanes at 7 am while other guests will have to wait to purchase it when the Park officially opens. I sometimes prefer Individual Lightning Lanes as I can pick the time I wish to enjoy the attraction and the wait time is much less than the Virtual Queue. If you have someone in your party with a smartphone and their own MyDisney account, you can even attempt to secure both a Virtual Queue boarding group and an Individual Lightning Lane for the same attraction! This way you have two opportunities to enjoy it!

I hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to let us know!

    Happy Planning!
