To get a VIP voucher for Fastasmic, I understand that you have to purchase the Dining Package to get the passes, but what if you have purchased a dining plan? Also, if you do purchase this package, can you book for lunch and still get the pass?

    Hi Deb!

I'm a huge fan of the Fantasmic Dining Package, so I was really excited to see your question. The convenience of the VIP seating is so awesome...and the food options are pretty spectacular as well!

I've got some good news for you...it is possible to take advantage of the Fantasmic Dining Package if you've purchased one of the Disney Dining Plans. Since The Hollywood Brown Derby is a "signature restaurant," you'll use two of your table-service entitlements. However, only one table-service entitlement will be needed if you opt for a meal at Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano.

As for your other question, it is possible to take advantage of the Fantasmic Dining Package if you book a lunch seating at the participating restaurants. There may be some blackouts depending on the time of year, so I would call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE to see if there are any lunch options available for the package during the time of your vacation. If so, then you will still be able to get the pass for the VIP seating at that evening's performance of Fantasmic.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you'll be visiting during a time of the year when two performance of Fantasmic will be offered in the evening, consider picking the later show. Most of the crowds will flock to the first one, leaving the theme park wide open for you. That way, you can enjoy some of your favorite attractions with much shorter lines than usual.

I hope that helps. If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to let me know. (Especially when it comes to food....I LOVE talking about the food at Walt Disney World!)

    Best regards,
    Derek
