    Is the VIP tour worthwhile on very busy periods like the week of July 4th?

    Hey there Scott and welcome to planDisney. I have booked Disney Private VIP Tours for the week of July 4 in both 2021 and 2022 where we did all four theme parks in one day for a group of ten adults. The adults were highly mobile, motivated, and moved at a quick speed. These are heavy crowd-level days and I am so glad I had a guide. Here is what I can tell you about theme park experiences during the July 4th week. 

    1. Your experience will vary depending on the group composition. Strollers, scooters, slow movers, and several children will slow the pace but having the Disney Private VIP Tour Guide will make the day much easier and more enjoyable regardless of the composition
    2. It will be a penguin walk (waddle walking) due to high crowds in certain areas.
    3. Disney Genie+ Service will be maxed out because of the crowd levels
    4. Lightning Lanes will be crowded with a 10-15 minute wait (this is not so terrible)
    5. Having transportation between theme parks if you are Park Hopping is essential to maximize your tour experience
    6. VIP fireworks viewing for Happily Every After or Luminous: The Symphony of Us will be managed well with Guests having a great view of the nighttime spectaculars. No need to stake out a space and wait for an hour to be surrounded by hundreds of people.
    7. It will be hot and your Disney Private VIP Tour Guide will help you get refreshments and food. Bring small towels or cooling towels to stay refreshed.
    8. You will be able to get between 12 and 16 attractions completed across several parks but have realistic expectations and you need to be strategic. We do not ride Kilimanjaro Safaris because it takes an average of 20 minutes and you could be on and off Kali River Rapids and boarding Expedition Everest: Journey of the Forbidden Mountain during that time.
    9. Not everybody has to ride every attraction
    10. Your Disney Private VIP Tour Guide knows trivia and has access to back entries of several attractions saving tons of time as you avoid the Standy By and Lightning Lane entrances
    11. Time is money. You can spend time standing in the sun or spend time enjoying the fun.
