Welcome Home, Emma! It's a beautiful day at planDisney and I'm so pleased you reached out with your vacation planning question all the way from New Zealand. Now let's make some magic!
The
Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is an amazing vacation destination. I'm planning my very first trip to
Disneyland Resort for later this year and this
Disney Vacation Club property is at the top of my list of ideal accommodations. Of course, one of the best features of this resort is an exclusive Guest-only entrance to
Disney California Adventure Park! My planDisney pal
Melissa H. also raves about the dining at the Grand Californian, particularly
Napa Rose and
Storytellers Cafe (she says this is the perfect spot for a family celebration!).
Emma, it is absolutely possible to use your
Vacation Points for a
Disney Collection exchange to stay in a suite at the Grand Californian, including a signature suite. I love being able to use our points flexibly when the occasion calls for it--my daughters have had many dance trips to
Walt Disney World Resort over the years and it's great to be able to use points to stay at their host resort.
You will need to contact the friendly folks at
Member Services so they can check current availability and complete the transaction. Disney Collection exchanges do carry a one-time nonrefundable fee (currently $95).
I hope you're able to book a practically perfect suite for your California adventures, Emma! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney and please reach out again anytime if we can help with any other tips and tricks to add some extra pixie dust to your travels.
Stay Magical!
Susan
