Is the villains lair only reserved 60 days out

Hi Terri, welcome home and welcome back to planDisney! Magic Mirror on the wall, who’s the luckiest of them all? Why that’s Terri because as a Disney Vacation Club member you get to hang out at Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair! Now let’s talk about how you can reserve a spot and hang out amongst the baddest villains in all the land!

Eligible DVC members have two ways to reserve fireworks viewing at Top of the World Lounge. One is part of the Wicked Wind Down package and the other is a complimentary option. The Wicked Wind Down package is a great way to relax after a busy day at the theme parks. You’ll receive a cocktail and appetizer from the lounge menu and a selection of sinfully sweet dessert of the day. Currently, this package costs $55 per person (plus taxes and fees), but be sure to inquire you make your reservation as prices are subject to change. One thing to note about the complimentary option is that reserved seating inside the lounge is not guaranteed and may not be available during fireworks shows.

For either option, you can contact Member Services starting 60 days in advance of your Resort arrival, subject to availability. Reservations will be accepted at any time after the 60-day mark, Cast Members at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will even accept same-day walk-up inquiries, so long as there’s availability! In my experience, it’s fairly easy to get same-day walk-up access to the Top of the World Lounge if you’re going after the Happily Ever After fireworks at Magic Kingdom. My wife and I often like stopping by there after we leave Magic Kingdom for a quick nightcap and slice of the ever popular seven-lair cake!

Terri, I hope this information is helpful for you as you craft your plans for your next visit. If you have any further questions about maximizing your DVC membership, feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!

    Your pal,
