Which village in the Caribbean Beach Resort is the best to stay at?

Hi, Ann! Travel with me to the islands as we dive into Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!

This is my absolute favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel. From the bright colors, to the island vibe, to the little beaches at each village, to the amazing pool...I could go on and on because I love this place!

One of the best things about the Caribbean Beach Resort is also a bit challenging: it's very big. Some of the buildings are quite a hike from Old Port Royale, which houses the resort's dining and shopping spots, along with the Fuentes del Morro pool, so many people prefer to choose a room in this area. The villages of Martinique and Trinidad North, on either side of Old Port Royale, are considered Preferred Rooms and cost a bit more. But here's this mom's tip: try Jamaica and Aruba, which are just across the bridge from Old Port Royale. They're not quite as close, but the walk only takes a few minutes and the scenery on Caribbean Cay island makes the morning jaunt to refill your resort mug a breath of fresh air.

If you're traveling with some little mateys, you might like one of the Pirate Rooms in the Trinidad South village. With boats for beds, a skull-and-crossbones curtain and "plank" carpeting on the floor, it's like you've been dropped right into the Pirates of the Caribbean!

Every village has its own pool, laundry facilities and beach area, so you can take a dip or stretch out in the sand after a long day in the Theme Parks.

Well, Ann, our island tour has come to an end. I hope I've helped you find your perfect spot in paradise!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
