Will have a 2BR Villa @ BC. Will need a few essentials-milk, juice, etc. I know groceries on site are a little more, but how much time and money would a taxi to the nearest grocery store require? Can hotel call one for me, would taxi wait at store? TY

HI Dawn! I love the Beach Club Villas!  It is my family's favorite resort.  We love being able to walk into Epcot.

You could do it either way.  The concierge could call a cab for you, or you could call a service on your own.  Generally, I just tell the front desk or concierge when I need one, and they are there very quickly.  Sometimes they will even be lined up in front of the resort.

I would say that it would cost anywhere between 20-40 dollars (including a tip) for you to take a cab to the nearest grocery store.  I have had a taxi driver wait for me when I needed to run to a pharmacy, but he did it "on the clock".   Depending on how much you plan to buy, it may be cheaper to just buy from the Beach Club grocery store.  As for time, I would say anywhere between an hour and an hour and a half, depending on your shopping time.

Another option, and my favorite, is to use www.gardengrocer.com.  They will deliver to your resort, and the deliver charge is usually less than what a taxi would cost.  Plus, it is much more convenient.  You can even place your order before you leave home to have it there when you arrive or shortly after.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
