Hi Delayne,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you are using one of the
Disney Dining Plans!
When we have used the Disney Dining Plan in the past, the entrées and desserts listed on the menus have typically all been options for us. The cast member who serves us at the restaurant always explains what specifically is included in our dining plan. We have used the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan also and, for lunch and dinner, have been able to choose an appetizer from the menu as well.
As you plan your dining plan meal strategy, be sure that you know how many meal entitlements each restaurant requires. If you have not done so already, go to the home page of each restaurant that you plan to experience, click on the link that says Some Dining Plans Accepted and a pop-up menu should appear that indicates the number of meal entitlements required for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.
Delayne, also remember that your meal entitlements are calculated per night of stay. If you have a six night vacation package with the Disney Dining Plan, each person 3-years old and over on the dining plan would receive 12 meal entitlements, six quick-service and six table-service meal entitlements for the length of your stay. On the Disney Dining Plan, we usually eat one meal on the day we arrive, one meal on the day we depart and the rest of our meals on the days in between!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
