Are the viewing areas for the Fantasmic dining packages ground level or are there risers like at WDW? We have elderly family members coming so sitting on the ground may be a challenge. The premium package at River Belle is sold out unfortunantely! Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, Maria! Welcome back to planDisney. There's nothing we love more than seeing Guests return with more planning questions for us to answer!

I hope you are getting excited for your Halloween Time visit to Disneyland. I was just in the parks this past week, and the decor is slowly going up and it has me so excited for spooky season! The viewing areas for dining packages for Fantasmic! will vary slightly depending on the dining location. The standard dining packages will get you a voucher to return to a reserved viewing area somewhere along the Rivers of America in the New Orleans Square area. Last time, I noticed the areas where the stairs led down to the waterfront, with each dining location having a separate area. So while there may be an incline or stairs, the viewing areas will be standing towards the back or sitting on the ground. There are no risers to sit on like Walt Disney World's amphitheater for the show.

It sounds like you are aware of the premium dining package at River Belle Terrace, and it's a bummer that reservations are all booked. These are great because you will be seated for your meal and then able to stay to view the show right from your seat. I highly suggest that you just keep checking reservations to see if anything opens up. This is likely when you get close to your desired date, as Guests usually overbook in advance and then wait until right before the cancellation policy to make final plans and cancel options they decide not to go with. If that doesn't work, I always go to the location to inquire if they are taking any walk-ups for that time. It never hurts to ask!

Maria, I hope this information helps you get a better idea of what will be best for you and your party. I am sending a whole lot of pixie dust your way for a reservation to open up for you!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
