Hey howdy hey, Jacalyn and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My favorite
fireworks and the accompanying soundtrack is from Happy HalloWishes fireworks performed during
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This year I am both saddened and excited because, after 14 years, they are introducing a
brand-new fireworks experience on during the spook-tacular Halloween themed event.
I have seen fireworks from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the patio behind the main building at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the
Top of the World Lounge observation deck of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and the
California Grill observation deck atop Disney's Contemporary Resort. At each of these locations, the soundtrack is played on speakers allowing Guests to hear and see the pyrotechnic perfection. It is a highlight of my trip to watch the fireworks dance like specters over Magic Kingdom Park. If you do not have dinner reservations during the fireworks at the California Grill then keep your meal receipt and show it to the host at the podium on the second floor about 60 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled. Ask any Cast Member what time the fireworks are scheduled. Please note that space is limited. Only
Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests are welcome to view fireworks from the Top of the World Lounge. In the past, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party fireworks have been as late as 10:15 PM (times may change). All other viewing locations are open to any Guests.
Disney Dad Tip: Another often overlooked option is the
California Grill Lounge. It is first-come, first-seated and you should arrive between 60 and 90 minutes before the fireworks. Enjoy a sublime cocktail while you wait then head out to the observation area for the sorcery in the sky.
Jacalyn, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
