Can you view a list of room request options to choose from without checking-in online? We dont like online check-in, but I'd like to know what my request options are.

Hi Courtney! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I see you are counting down the days until your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I know just how excited you’re getting. You are going to be in the middle of all the holiday magic very soon, and let me tell you: nobody decks the halls like Disney! Get ready to feel all the holiday feelings when you see the decorations, taste the treats, and soak in all the festive fun this special season has to offer.

I can understand wanting to check in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel in person, and you’re welcome to do that. I’m happy to report that you can still see the room requests available for your resort hotel room in your My Disney Experience account – just start the online check-in process, but don’t save your changes. In My Disney Experience, go to “My Plans” and then, under your hotel reservation, select “Start Online Check-In.” From there, you’ll see “Room Location Requests” as one of the options. There should be two drop-down menus showing you your options. If you don’t want to check-in online, just click cancel and your changes won’t be saved, but you’ll have seen the options. Each resort has different room request options, so there isn't a master list I can share with you at this time.

Having said that: there are more room request options than the app shows. If there are certain things you’d like to request, like being close to transportation, a King Bed, a crib, or certain views, my recommendation is to call the Walt Disney World Resort Reservations Cast Members at (407) 939-1936 and ask them to add your request to your reservation. Note that some things, like views and proximity to dining or transportation, are dependent on the room category you’ve booked under, so speaking with a Cast Member is helpful. Be sure to call at least 5 days in advance of your check-in so the room assigners can work their magic, and remember that requests cannot be guaranteed.

Courtney, I hope you have so much fun counting down the days to your vacation! Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog to get excited about all the fun things going on all around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs – I’ve been adding new treats to my list almost every day! Please come back and see us if you have any further questions, and have the BEST time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
