Welcome to planDisney, Dave! I think we have a lot in common, because I'm also revved up and ready to plan my vacation days at Walt Disney World Resort pretty far in advance. I love lining up my itinerary just right with my
dining wishlist and other plans, so let's jump right in and chat about when you'll be able to see park opening hours so you'll be able to set your plans in motion!
Walt Disney World is open 365 days a year, and
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel guests happens every single day. Guests staying
on Disney property can enter any of the four parks 30 minutes before the posted regular opening time, daily.
Park hours, and by extension the exact Early Entry times, are typically posted a few weeks to a couple of months in advance. For a May 2026 trip, you can expect to see hours being populated on the calendar sometime in March or April. I'd recommend checking back in the
My Disney Experience app a little bit before your dining reservation window opens, 60 days in advance of your check-in date. That's when the magic starts to happen, and hours begin to appear. You can find hours in the calendar in the app by opening up the main menu with the (☰) button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Scroll down and tap "Park Hours & Info," select your date, and you'll see each park's schedule. Remember that hours are always subject to change, so it's a good idea to check periodically in the weeks and days leading up to your trip.
I hope this answers your question, Dave, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
