We would like to view the different Christmas decorations at many of the Disney Resorts. Is that allowed? We will be attending the MVMCP and plan to arrive at MK at 4pm that day. We have the entire morning and afternoon to explore. Which is the best resort

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Kristen ~

The Christmas season is the most wonderful time of the yEAR to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The decorations throughout the theme parks, Downtown Disney, and hotels are phenomenal!

You are absolutely welcome to visit the resorts to check out the holiday decorations. Because you have until 4:00 p.m. until they begin letting Guests attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party enter the Magic Kingdom, I would start out in the Epcot resort hotel area. I love the decorations in the Beach and Yacht Club Resorts. Pay close attention to the ornaments on the trees that compliment the theme of each resort. Then take a Friendship Boat over to the BoardWalk Inn.

From there, head over to the Magic Kingdom Resorts and take a tour of the resorts along the monorail line. The Contemporary Resort has a great display in the fourth floor atrium. I also love the ginormous Mickey wreath on the side of the hotel.

The most spectacular holiday display is at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Their gingerbread house is unbelievable and the tree in the lobby is magnificent.

The lobby of the Polynesian Village Resort is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. I am not sure what type of display they will have this year but it would only be a quick stop to check.

If you have extra time, you can take a boat from the Contemporary Resort or from just outside the Magic Kingdom over to the Wilderness Lodge. Their lobby (even without Christmas decorations) is one of the most impressive on property.

Hopefully, you will have time during your trip to check out the decorations at Downtown Disney as well. They are featuring some brand new ones this yEAR.

Please feel free to visit us again with any other questions. We will be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
