I am a veteran and have my veteran identification card, I was hoping to take my sister and her family on a trip to Disney World Resort. I'm unsure if I would be able to use my veteran discounts for their tickets or if they would have to pay in full?

Hey there, hi there, Dylan! Welcome!

Walt Disney World offers some really great discounts for members of the military and retired veterans. Eligible service members can take advantage of specially priced tickets and discounted rooms at Disney Resorts Collection hotels for themselves and their families.

The special offer on military tickets, the one you'll hear referred to as either the MIlitary Salute or Armed Forces Salute, is available for all active-duty military, reservists, retired veterans with 20+ years of military service, and 100% service-connected permanently disabled veterans. You can purchase up to six tickets during the offer period, which this year, runs until December 16th. If you would like to gift some of those tickets to your sister and her family, you can absolutely do that. These tickets are available for purchase through Shades of Green Armed Forces Recreation Center, a resort located at Walt Disney World, and through some military bases. Other slightly discounted tickets are available to any honorably discharged veteran, and those can be purchased at your local military base.

There is also a special offer currently running for resort rooms, Dylan. You can check to see I you're eligible for those while you are planning your vacation.

Thank you very much for your service and sacrifices, Dylan. I hope you get to enjoy a wonderful vacation with your family.
